BioProject PRJNA257433 | Data Source University of Melbourne | Taxonomy ID 6336

About Trichinella nelsoni

One of the Trichinella genus of parasitic nematodes, the causative agents of trichinosis (also known as trichinellosis). Trichinella nelsoni is found eastern Africa and infects predators and scavengers.

Genome assembly: T7_ISS37_r1.0

The genome of T. nelsoni was produced by the Gasser laboratory at the University of Melbourne, as part of the assembly and analysis of all 12 recognized Trichinella species (described in Korhonen et al (2016)).

Gene annotation

The gene predictions were made by the Gasser laboratory at the University of Melbourne.

What can I find? Protein-coding and non-coding genes, splice variants, cDNA and protein sequences, non-coding RNAs.

Comparative genomics

What can I find? Orthologues, paralogues, and gene trees across multiple species.
