Panagrolaimus superbus is a free-living, obligately outcrossing nematode, originally isolated from a gull's nest in Surtsey, Iceland. Like other members of the Panagrolaimus genus, it is notable for its ability to survive dessication stress.

Short-insert Illumina reads were assembled with CLC Assembly Cell. Contigs were scaffolded with RNAseq-derived mRNA predictions using the SCUBAT pipeline, as described by Schiffer et al., 2019.
